► (1492-1556) Seudónimo de Pietro Bacci, poeta italiano. Sus composiciones son célebres por lo atrevidas y licenciosas, y sus sátiras, finas y punzantes, fueron temidas por todos los hombres públicos de su tiempo. Entre sus obras destacan los Raggionamenti o Diálogos putañescos (1534-36), El mariscal (1533), La cortesana (1534), la tragedia Orazzia (1546), y un epistolario de 1537 a 1557 (cartas).

Poeta, prosista y dramaturgo italiano. Fue célebre en su tiempo en toda Europa por sus audaces y violentos ataques literarios contra los poderosos. Sus ardientes cartas y diálogos son de gran interés tanto biográfico como temático. Sus obras teatrales, relativamente libres de agresiones virulentas, incluyen cinco comedias y una tragedia, Orazia (1546), tal vez la mejor tragedia italiana del s. XVI.
